I posted a reply instead of a thread yeasterday durrrrrrrrr, cant seem to view my replies, so i'll start again!
i AM SELF EMPLOYED AND AM IN REAL TROUBLE WITH CREDIT CARD DEBT.
I have recently negociated a 57% f&f with alliance and leicester and an interest free period with marks and spencer. Its barclaycard i'm having real problems with. My debt has been transferred to mercers, who i know are barclaycard in disguise!
I have offered a monthly payment of £40, if they freeze the interest or a settlement of £2500, both they have refused. I have not made any payment on the account for 3 months.
I am inclined to wait until the account is referred to a proper DCA and hopefully settle then.
can anyone give me any advice?
The settlement i have offered is coming from my parents

The trouble with making offers is , they will see you have a certain amount at your disposal . So they will think why not just keep making payments?0

Last year during the summer, i received two appointment cards from Mercer's......saying they were coming round to visit!!!!!
I hid away upstairs each time..........and each time they didn't come!
They refused to accept token monthly payments of £1 (i'm on Income Support). Finally they sent a letter saying they wouldnt be sending me any more statements, BUT they would continue charging me interest on what i owed!
Ive not heard from them at all this year.................but i continue to pay the 2 x £1 monthly payments online.
I presume they are accepting this as theyve not returned it!!!!!!!!
I just wish my other creditors would get fed up n go away!
Having a NIGHTMARE with Fredricksons working for Littlewoods! Thats another story..........0 -

i then said get the **** off my property or i wouldnt held accountable if the dog was too come out and attack him - i didnt have a dog but this was enough to scare him off lolSealed pot challenger # 10
