  • I received a confirmation email today too, so I'm guessing those of us who saw on here that they were recruiting are hearing at the same time.

Just watched the video/answered the questions and it appears that they use your clubcard data to select you for trials so I guess you will get to test the products that are similar to those you are already using.

    No champagne for me then!

I applied a couple of months ago but haven't heard anything :(
  • Tesco must have been pruning inactive members and replacing them with new ones. I was a member since Dec 2012 but I got an email booting me off the panel in September. It looks like it was because I was no longer regularly spending on my clubcard.

Whilst on the panel I got these tests:
    Toilet roll (three times)
    Mansize tissues
    Washing maching gel
    Washing machine powder
    A pair of men's trousers

I completed all the online questionnaires on time and with 100% diligence. They still sacked me despite this, saying that panellists must have a vested interest in the products that they review. In other words, they only want people who remain loyal and regular customers.
It was fun, but was it worth it? I spent a lot of time making notes during each test, then 1 to 2 hours typing in my assessment each time. For a sample of 3 toilet rolls worth a pound or two, this is quite a lot of effort.

Oh, and I was panellist of the month once, awarded for a toilet paper review!

i think the questionnaires must have changed because everything seems to be multiple choice....marks out of 10/whether something was too small/just right/too big...etc etc....and 2 boxes for negatives and positives about the product....maybe people complained writing an assessment/review was taking too long.

It's nice to get something for nothing, but I do wish the actual surveys would be designed better. I get so tired of saying about three or four different ways that I like or dislike pretty much the same thing. Their questions overlap far too much!
