Home reversion plans

As someone who is in debt (credit card), new to this site and looking for ways out of the debt I did consider home reversion plans, unfortunately I am too young (you have to be 65), and while I may look it I still actually have twenty years to go...Are there any plans similar to this available for younger people. I am ill health retired and own my home outright!

  • There are two schemes, the other being equity release mortgages. However, both these seem to have a starting age limit of 55 (better than you said, but not low enough). I suspect these calculate how long you are going to live before the money runs out, hence the age limits! To be honest, if your expectation of life is likely to be reduced by your ill-health, there may be some leeway. Why not ring an expert to get a feel for this.
I plucked one from the WEB with an 0800 number - contact them.

    Good luck.
(PS I have no vested interest in this company.)
