    Yes but a grey area, as they are unfranked and have been taken off envelopes that missed the franking machine!

    Some sellers state that the money is going to charity?

    Highly improbable that the PO would be able to access what stamps are steamed off as the machine only reads if its been franked!

    Lets be honest (Pun) with the high rates the PO charge and crappy services (see this weeks press ("Millions of letters go missing") who cares!

    Just a quick FYI not all of royal mails sorting macheenes use frank marks to indicate the stamp has been used.
    The stamps have marks 'embeded' in them that the sorting macheenes can read and 'cancle' .

    but of course - if you're sending packages - as long as it looks alright you'll be fine
