My understanding is that the pre order price promise remains unchanged. that means that if you order something before it is released, if the price comes down, then you pay the lowest price, not the price you ordered it at. I'm pretty sure that's correct.:rolleyes:0

You're right - I've amended my post. It's the post-order price promise that's gone i.e. once you've paid, if you spot it cheaper elsewhere it's tough.
But Amazon will still give the lower price on the day of release if you pre-ordered at a higher price.
