Thanks for that, sounds like the other way to idnetify is the volume rocker switch. For anyone who wants to check, it's a black rocker switch on the top left hand side I believe....

I have just bought the 8gb from Currys for £149 but got a free £25 itunes voucher and £9.99 case and 3% cashback via quidco on reserve and collect. I also ordered a power charger for £8.99 instead of £25.99 and speaker for £29.99 instead of £59,99. The offer is only available until Wednesday and I did have to point out to the assistant the additional itunes and case offer There is a £10 voucher available which takes the IPod to £139.99 but only for Home Delivery.

Might be worth enquiring about the Curry's offer I posted as it was from someone who mentioned it today. That doesn't mean it stands though but check it out all the same.

We are thinking of getting one of these.

Can someone please explain to me, other than the capacity, what the differences are between the 8 gig and 32 gig or larger?

I have read that the larger sizes are "faster", but faster in what way? and is it worth the extra money?
