On Watchdog, Martin mentioned borrowing at 0% and sticking it in a savings account at 5% and making a few hundred pounds a year.

So who's lending money at 0%? I know a lot of credit cards do 0%, but don't they charge interest on cash withdrawls?

  • What we really want to know is if Amex will be re-writing their T&Cs even as I pen this post?

Agreed, horse and water n all that ;)
  • I work with someone who is the PERFECT customer for credit card companies. He never pays off his cards or store cards in full each month, usually pay minimum payments, sometimes late as well. He admits he is too lazy to transfer to 0% deals or even set up DDs to stop late payment penalties.

He's completely lax about all his finances and very open about it -although to my knowledge he's not in any financial difficulty.

He's just one of the people card and loan companies LOVE.
