I've won at least 5 prizes via Great Competitions and searching my name on google only brings up my name once. Going through the winners lists regularly i also have not been listed on those.

I know the PR c/o's can also take quite a time to get prizes out because the last prize i received was about 3 weeks ago from a comp that ended in June. It was a nice surprise as i had not had any notification of the win.

I find it hard to believe that prizes that were won in June and July have not been sent out by now. Also, neither me nor my mum have had any letters from GC stating we were winners. Does seem strange though that there are a few of us who have not received the prizes

I had a letter from them in April saying that I'd won one of their competitions from February. Still hadn't received the prize in June so I contacted the PR company and got the prize within two days. I think it just takes them ages to get the winning letters sent out and you won't get your prize until after you've received that.

I got a wem from Pick Me up in March saying I had won 2 Princess Diaries books. I told my dd & she waited & waited excitedly...but no books turned up. I emailed PMU & also company running comp & they emailed back to appologise & books were on the way. I even replied with my details again to see if anything was wrong but still no books turned up. In the end I went out & bought the books for my dd & pretended they arrived! I still enter the online comps but it makes me wonder if everyone does actually receive their prizes.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!
  • Hi All

I'm a MSE user but quite new to the competitions forum.

Can anyone help me as I've been reading this thread and I'm wondering how to check for my name on Google. My surname is West and all that keeps coming up is street names in my area with West in them.

    Any suggestions.

    Thanks
