Which camcorder?

I want to buy a camcorder in the next few days and being a novice the Canon MV800 £187 (Cameras2u.com) or JVC GR -240 £190(Comet.co.uk) seem to fit the bill.
However Ebuyer seem to have a bargain offer on the JVC GZ-MC100 Everio Flash Memory Digital Camcorder at £280. Nearest price I can find elswhere is £399 and at £440 on Amazon.
Should I go for one of the cheaper options or the Ebuyer offer?
Also Ebuyer option only has a 4GB Microdrive/CompactFlash card - how much are these to buy in comparison to a pack of minidv cassettes?
