Hey all,
firstly
:T
to you all. You've made my life sooooooo much easier over the last few years so thank you.
Secondly, I hope this is in the right forum?
So I've just viewed my credit report for the first time in several years and I have an account with Black Horse (now closed thank God) that shows a massive ammount of arrears on it.
Now this wasn't my fault as at the time I asked for a settlement figure which
was given to me as £500 lower than it should have been.
They then used the amount I payed as the monthly repayments for 20 months.
After this of course I went into arrears and accumulated the following:
6 x one month arrears
5 x two month arrears
3 x three month arrears
I eventually paid the whole thing off and thought it forgotten about.
Until now.
This has impacted my credit-worthyness and I'm paying more than I should for credit cards and the like.
I desperately want to be debt free within 3 years but this will all stay on my record until 2013 at the earliest.
How do I tackle this?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Dave.
ps. Annoyingly I don't have the documents sent to me by Black Horse - I've moved several times since then. Lesson learned.
