Isn't that the attitude that got us here in the first place?

Granted, saving is less attractive, but I would still rather have £10K in savings with low interest rate and Inflation reducing its buying power than have £10K of debt.

Forget inflation. Get used to deflation which is one of the biggest worries for the BoE.
Graeme Leach, chief economist at the Institute of Directors, while welcoming the cut, said: "The reduction shows that the MCP think inflation is yesterday's story and deflation is the risk for tomorrow.
Deflation. Get it in to your heads. :p

    Anger, denial acceptance?

Anger ?, no, happier than a pig in s**t, denial ?, of what ?, acceptance ?, of what ?.

I earn about 35k p.a., job is as safe as any job at the moment and have 40k that I can get my hands on within 2 weeks (savings and investments), and I have just saved another 3.5k this month without doing anything.

    Pretty happy really

Unbelievable you growl like a bear, but insist your house has tripled in value in six years (even after 12 months of falls) honest Gov everyones house has fallen apart from mine. Just fed figuers into Nationwide calculator for the uk and it comes up with a figure of 74,801.

Actually, he said his mortgage was £50k, not the value of the property.....;)

Good for you I will not get personal as i know your wife left you for another man recently and you had to sell up against your wishes. Good luck for the future.

Paper money, that can be turned into real cash the moment I walked through and EA's door, with my offer, of course I'm not as next month my theoretical mortgage will be lower still as another month of falls kick in.
