I never really bother with the first sale - half price doesn't really do it for me (although I did manage to get some nice lamps yesterday and a cute leather jacket for my 2 year old).

Wait until the further reductions start - my best bargain last year was a cashmere hoodie reduced to £5 from £129 - now that is what I call a bargain!

I agree, I wait for the further reductions, have started to add things to my history but when i checked i'm sure not everything was there - is there a limit to how many pages you can store?

I did order some school pinafores at £3 for my dd (next year) a kitchen knife, a new baby gown £2, baby shawl £5 and some baby socks - missed out on the lamps as didnt bother looking, but didnt need them anyway!

Not sure about the history thingy, think it depends on your settings in your Internet Options.

I didn't need any lamps either (am all lamped out after the last 6 sales...) but I just can't resist a bargain!

I agree about waiting. My best bargain last year was a lamp - £125 reduced to £5.

Its started last year on New Year's Day.

i was happy with the half price dressing gown for my sister, vests for dd for £3, dr. who tops for the lads for a fiver and a cardi for dd for school £3 Great! never thought of shopping online on xmas day :rolleyes:

When they do further reductions, theres more and different stuff into the sale, so it might be worth waiting. Last time I got two jackets for £5 each(were £55 and £39 full price, so was very pleased). If you can wait till Jan you might get more for your money.

I ordered a lamp yesterday... £95 reduced to £19. Just got an email cancelling the order, as they cannot get the supplies from the manufacturer!! Then why advertise them then if they aint in stock??? :mad: :mad: :mad:

You could play the system if you've already ordered some "must have" items. If what you've already ordered & received comes on at an even bigger discount then order it again and return the first one to a store. You'd have to pay the £3.50 delivery twice of course, but it will probably be worth it.

I got my confirmation email about 30 hours after making my order...just one thing out of stock. I got a few things reduced to £5, so I am pleased! Beats going to their shops any day.
