the bill i have requires payment to start in less than 1 month and the total demand for payment is over three and half a grand
But they're not asking you to pay it all in one go are they? If the monthly payments are too much then obviously you need to contact them. Also, you should have expected the bill would arrive eventually and anticipated this by putting some money aside ( preferably in a nice high interest account where it could have been earning you money! ) for when the bill came. I'm sure you know all this tho...0 -
indeed i was expecting the bill so it's not surprise - the point i was making is the same as someone else above how on earth does it take them 20 months to issue a bill?
no business in the commercial world would survive if they managed billing like that - anyway factual point made that it would appear they are getting even slower at billing if my case is anything like the norm0 -

I think it's fair to say the past 3 years for LPS has been pretty dire - staff agree completely with this, well the staff on the ground anyway! The bigwigs are eejits and are doing nothing to help improve anything to speed the service, to cut costs effectively and to generally make the whole system easier to manage!
I'll tell you how bad things are - LPS as a whole cannot share information with each other - it's crazy, it's one organisation!! Staff's hands are tied with bureaucracy, unfortunately any changes that have to be made and need to be made, must be done at a higher level than the chief executive - The ministers are needed to help and change the legislation to ensure the jobs can be done effectively.
I'll tell you one thing this year though, if you have a bill outstanding you'll get until the end of the rating year to pay and no more, there is no leinency being given, and you'll find higher numbers are being taken through courts for payment, the pressure isnt on the staff persay  - the pressure is on the public to do what is morally right and pay.0 -
