Borough Market Big Savings

London's Borough Market is a great place for good food but it can be very pricey.

I noticed however, that if you arrive on a Saturday at 4pm ish (a few minutes before the stalls close for the week) the big fishmonger halves their prices (not every week though).

This is a great way to save some cash, you just gotta time it right! :xmassmile

Do you know if this really is just on Saturdays? (Presumably the fishmonger gets fresh fish every day, so it doesn't make any difference whether they're closing for the weekend or just overnight).

I'm asking because I work nearby and often pop in on Fridays on the way from work to the station. I'm a big fan of window shopping in Borough Market but the prices prevent me from doing much actual shopping there. (I'll be buying my Christmas sprouts there though - they're twice the size of the ones you get in supermarkets!)
