CD Player & DAB radio

My folks want to get themselves a combined CD player/DAB radio. They are not too focused on price (max £250 but happy to spend much less!) but one of the main requirements is a reasonable sound reproduction ,integral speakers and not too large in size. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

My friend bought one at Argos for £120 about a month ago; lovely little model and she is quite pleased with it. It isn't this one but it is very similar

This sounds exactly like the criteria I had when I was hunting for exactly this a few months ago.

If you want one that is portable also, you could do worse than check out the Genus PR1i (£130 from Dixons etc)... It also does CD/MP3, has remote control and pauses live radio. It's quite easy on the eye (most of the portables on the market seem to be quite bulky and aimed at the teenage market). Sound quality is good and is on a par with the well regarded Pure units (I have both).

In all it's a nicely thought out bit of kit and we've been really pleased with it. We have ours in a corner of the kitchen and it's been great.
