I wanna buy some tyres.....

I don't see many threads (if any!) on discounts for tyres. I need a set of four 195X65 15". What suggestions?

My father in law got his tyres from Costco. They were £90 cheaper than the cheapest place he had a quote from.

Did some phoning around last time I wanted tyres. Came down to choice between etyres.co.uk (they also have a freephone number) and local National Tyres (a chain I think).

In the end etyres were cheaper but they sub contracted and they sent National anyway!

Came to house and fitted there - very pleased with service

My tyres have always worked out cheapest for me...
Delivery takes about a week and never had any problems:

    Thanks folks....keep 'em coming....

Dunlop SP: Blackcircles £215, my local Just Tyres £182.

Not a Costco member, and the local store is a fair drive away.

I recently bought a set of 4 for the wifes car at Costco , they worked out much cheaper

Costco only supply Michelan tyres though.....but an excellent tyre and a good range to suit all vehicles

Sorry folks, "Just Tyres" win hands down! They have the tyres in stock, can fit within the hour, and there is a further £5 off voucher on the website. All I have to do now is persuade them to let me have Continentals at the Dunlop price! Wish me luck.

But many thanks for all your contributions.

Is Just Tyres an internet outfit or depot based?

    Hi Morzov,

Just Tyres is a small outfit with 30-40 depots which seems to retail bulk buys from the majors. They have a web site http://www.justtyres.com/index.php which lists their specials. When I got mine done, the guy said they do good prices when they have the stock. So the web site only lists the specials. But they can get other tyres with a bit of notice.

    My invoice today says
    4 SP200 at 81.99
    4 valves at 1.55
    4 balances at 3.45
    Adjust tracking at 23.99
    Total 371.95

I paid 206.35 including the tracking adjustment.

It just so happens their place is just up the road too!
