Full and Final

If i offer a full and final payment on an account and the company excepts this, do they put anything negative on my account, I did a credit rating thing and it came up with a score of 999 out of 1000 and wish to protect this.

I have a lot of debt due to a training loan and was thinking how to trim some of it by working the system.

Cheers

  • Hi bobbones,

I think you'll find that f&f offers will only be considered when your account has fallen into arrears or you have defaulted, therefore your credit rating will already be shot by then.

I have also seen that if you get a full and final settlement and although that you have paid the agreed amount, the creditor can still have a record on your credit history that there is an amount of money outstanding.
