Slow Cooker Recomendations?

I really want to buy a slow cooker, life is hectic right now so the thought of getting up a little earlier but getting home to a lovely cooked meal sounds fantastic.
So as I know nothing about these things i was hping someone here could help me out with a recommendation? I think I will need a big size one, maybe 4L or a 6L? Its only the two of us at home but we really enjoy our food and also we normally make more and freeze things.
Can some make a recommendation please and also maybe recommend me a cook book too
Many thanks
Emma

Not sure how to make the link work, but if you look at the top blue bar, indexed collections, recipe collections and slow cooker you will find a thread telling you which ones people recommend.
