Hello! Im new.
Feeling abit down to be honest. To cut a long story short, Ive been on a DMP for the past 2 years and have at least another 4 years to go. Ive got £11,500 of debt but ive been lucky enough to come into some money (5,500) so i thought of writing full and final settlement letters to my creditors. I did this on the 14th oct and only had one reply who accepeted my offere of 50% straigh away (£750). However I have rang egg today to ask them have they recieved my letters and basicaly told me no, and theyd only accept 95% of what i owe them! £420 and £1765. I told them i wasnt in the position to offer them that and they said my debts werent big enough for them to worry about! I said it was ruining my life but they said 95% or nothing. Has anyone else ever done this with egg? Should I persist?
Thanks Em

if the account is still with egg, you may not be able to get much if any discount.
Go for the accounts that are with DCAs.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Coo.....I hope MY debts aren't big enough for Egg to worry about;)
Seriously though, RAS is right. You are likely to get a better response from debts with DCA's. With ones such as Egg you may have to bite the bullet and carry on paying unfortunately.
