DMP Advice please

Having been unsuccessful in getting a consolidation loan (which means all my stuff in Cash Generator will have to go ) I've been talking to various people about a debt management plan. Baines & Ernst I decided straight away not to go with, as they wanted a definite yes or no there and then, and got very pushy when I said I needed a little time to think it through. The other two I've been talking to are ADS, and just now Debt Free Helpline. Each naturally claim they're they best around, so I'm now looking for impartial advice from real people
.
Should I go with one of these two, or someone else entirely?
Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

never go with a company that you have to pay for, they can't do any more than the debt charities can.Weight loss 2015: -4lbs January (thanks flu):wall:

CCCS or Payplan don't charge for their services!! Go to them!!
A lot of other COMPANIES charge, whereas these CHARITIES work for fre!e!!Twitter: @haddockman830 -
Do NOT pay for a DMP! They can do nothing for you that a non-profit charity can't do. Contact the CCCS or Payplan for advice on DMP's. I'm on a DMP with the CCCS and it has been great!

Right. The lines that the two companies are giving me are that they stand the best chance of getting interest on my crdeit cards frozen, and that if I need legal advice, they can get it for me at no extra charge. "You get what you pay for" was Debt Free Helpline's quote.0

Another person shouting "DON'T PAY FOR YOUR DMP"
Payplan, who I'm with, and CCCS will help you for FREE. Please contact one of them.

They will say that - there's nothing in it for them to recommend Payplan or CCCS. Definitely do not go for anyone who will charge you a fee. I'm with Payplan and I've had no problems with them at all. As far as I can tell it seems to be entirely up to the creditors' discretion whether they stop interest and charges but so far, all but one of my creditors have stopped charges and most did so straight away.LBM: March 2008DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 1980

The CCCS have a huge amount of influence in the financial / banking world. ALL my creditors froze interest without so much as a whimper.
Please please no not pay for your DMP. Just think, the money they keep could actually be going to your creditors!!!!**Keep Calm and Carry On!**0 -
Nooooooooo
In this case, you DO NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!
The companies take their fee from your monthly payments which means LESS to your creditors. They have no more chance of freezing interest than CCCS or PayPlan but they will take their fee anyway.
DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!! contact CCCS or PayPlan and forget these sharks cashing in on your debt!!!!!!!DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244
