Working from home

Hi everyone,

It was mentioned to me by someone that I could save some money on my tax as I work from home. I am contracted to work from my home address but usually go into the office once a week.

At my home I have a room that I use to work in and if benificial I can completely designate this as an office.

Anyway, can I save some money here and is it worth it? Any suggestions where I go to sort all this out as I have no idea!

You can claim £3 pw tax relief for the use of your home as an office. You simply write a letter to your tax office, enclosing a copy of your contract of employment.
