Second CCj for same debt.

Hi All

This is my first post on this website, so please do go easy on me!

Basic story is as follows;

Had an unsecured loan (attached to a Together Mortgage with Northern Rock), took out 2003, originial amount was £10,000 over a 10yr term.

Fell into a few financial difficulties in 2006 which meant could not make full repayments.

Sold the property to which the unsecured loan was attached in 2006.

In Jan 2007 NR pushed for this unsecured debt to be secured on my new property (again with a NR mortgage), a CCJ was issued (which was for £17,000 as they compounded all interest over the exisiting term of the loan) and a payment plan agreed of £70 per month. A charging Order was also put on my exisiting property.

This has been paid monthly every month since the CCJ was issued.

So far so good...until yesterday...when I recieved a County Court Claim from LINK Financial. Basically this is exactly the same debt, which they now say has been assigned to LINK. Furthermore they also say they want a daily rate of interest applied of 3.57%.

I guess a few things spring to mind (i) I have had no previous contact from NR or Link saying the debt had been assigned, (ii) I already have a CCJ, charging Order and agreed plan in place for this and (iii) as far as I am concerned I have paid more than enough interest (as this was compounded and added to the outstanding loan balance at the time of the last CCJ).

I have tried to, and intend to contact NR and ask what on earth is going on!!!?

What should I do guys??? Help!?
