in Cutting tax
Hi
I realise this is an odd question, I'm wondering if there is any way to find via tax etc whether my employer has participated in the cycle 2 work scheme.
I'm investigating whether my employer has kept this scheme to a (rumoured) priviliged few.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks

You would not be able to ask HMRC due to data protection act.
If my memory serves me correctly, one of the conditions of the cycle to work scheme (to obtain the tax benefits) is that it must be open to all employees.
Therefore if you think you are missing out just mention this to them.
You could always report your suspicions to HMRC and I am sure they would be more than happy to open an Employer Compliance Review into the company.
All in all there is no reason for a company to restrict a cycle to work scheme to certain employees as its as much of a win to the company as it is to the employee.
