www.unbiased.co.uk - this is the database of all IFAs in the UK. You can search for closest to your postcode and can filter a few options in as well.
Specific advice requires a certain level of disclosure to take place and information gathering which really makes it impossible to do a forum like this. We can talk ideas and opinions though.Would it be better financially,to transfer the funds from the first pension to S/life??
Maybe, maybe not. It would depend on the pension from the old employer. Some are better off leaving where they are. Others are better moving. Some may offer little or no difference. We would need to know a little more about the old pension. i.e. is it a final salary pension scheme (based on years of service), is it money purchase scheme but has enhanced terms or is it a group personal pension (thats just a few of the options)?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
