Freezer leccy consumption

Hi all

Need a little help working out the cost of running a freezer I am considering buying.

The freezer is "A" rated and the description says

Energy consumption 281.05kWh/year

How much will that be? Assuming electricity is 10p per unit.

it would be even better if someone could give me the formula to work it out for myself.

I have a my own spreadsheet for leccy, but for that you have to enter the watts the appliance uses and how long it is switched on each day, this is a bit different.

Quite different because it doesn't use the same amount all the time and there are so many variables like where it's positioned, outside temp, how full it is, yada yada. I used a plug in monitor for mine and worked out a daily average but I'm sure that varies over the year.
