Hi Everyone
I have been reading loads of threads on here and you all seem very helpful! I recently changed jobs as i was made redundant and i now have to travel quite a bit to my job! I discovered that the car which i had an HP agreement with Blackhorse had become very unreliable so i decided it was time for a change. I went to a local car dealer and asked him what my options would be! He was very nice and found out all the relevant information for me. He informed me that as i had paid 20 payments in my 36 month agreement that i was entitled to a voluntary termination. He even posted the letter by recorded delivery to Blackhorse for me! I received a letter last week from Blackhorse stating that i had to pay £75 for them to collect the car and asking the tax details etc. I didn't state the tax details as the car was not taxed when i received it. I am very confused from reading through the forums. Will i have to pay the balance of the Payment Protection which i was bullied into taking and which i be responsible for any improvements that have to be made to an 8 year old car that was in very bad condition when i bought it??? I have contacted citizen's advice who were very unhelpful and basically told me that problems come with voluntary termination so tuff!!!

You will not need to pay any more ppi etc as you are terminating the agreement.
A £75 charge to collect is probably fair but your alternative is to deliver it up to their nearest office or auction site - you could phone them to find the nearest drop point.
They have no right to the tax disc.0 -
