    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    About the promotion
    • Q. What is the promotion?
    • A. The McDonald's 2 for 1 Cinema Tickets promotion entitles anyone over the age of 16 and otherwise not associated with McDonald's or the promotion, who buys a large meal or premium salad to claim a 2 for 1 cinema tickets voucher. Customers will be given a sticker-card with their purchase, whilst stocks last. By following the instructions on the sticker-card the customer will be asked to go online to enter their code which can be found on the reverse of the sticker on the sticker-card. Following the online instructions the customer will be given a choice of cinemas they wish to watch a film at. Customers will then need to print off their cinema tickets voucher. Customers will need to affix their sticker onto the voucher for cinemas to accept it as payment for the cheapest priced ticket, when 2 tickets are purchased. See below for more information on how the process works
    • Q. What product is the promotion available on?
    • A. A sticker-card will be given to customers who purchase a large meal (includes each combination of menu items advertised as a set meal other than breakfast items) or a premium salad (does not include Garden Side Salad).
    Cinema participation
    • Q. Which cinemas are participating in this promotion?
    • A. There are over 225 cinemas within the UK, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands participating. The Vue, Cineworld, Empire, Reel, Showcase, Hollywood and Merlin chains are participating in the promotion. Selected Independent cinemas are also participating.
    • Q. Are West End cinemas participating in the promotion?

Cineworld in the West End, Chelsea, Fulham Road, Haymarket and Shaftsbury Avenue, Showcase in Bluewater, Empire in Leicester Square and Vue in the West End In addition to this list, all other West End Cinemas are excluded. However, there are numerous other cinemas included in Central and Greater London and these will be presented as options when you enter your postcode online.

  • You have to be over 16 to participate. Does this mean the 2 for 1 is only for adult tickets or can they used to buy child tickets aswell?

  • Please can someone tell me what the cheapest thing is you need to buy at McD's to get the voucher?
Also, can you pay for the first cinema ticket at Vue cinemas using Nectar Points and get the second ticket free (with the McD's voucher)?
