Amazon V cd WOW @ Xmas

Have to say that despite the MSE discount - if you're buying a few cd's/videos etc and are therefore eligible for free postage - Amazon appears to be cheaper - just be careful though - just placed an order for three cd's - went through the payment process and the final total was wrong!!
They do, however, ask for any discount codes - does anyone have any?
I'm going to start another topic to ask for codes now.
If you're interested - keep looking!

the main codes for amazon are the referral ones, where as someone reffers you then you both get a £3 code.(theres applys when an order is placed)

then you just refer other people to receive the same

I have to disagree. Remember you can order 1 item at a time on CDWOW thus 75p off each item and free delivery. Very rarely do I find Amazon beating CDWOW prices.

Sorry I dont think you can beat Amazon for service or choice.
I ordered a game from cd wow last monday and it has still not arived !!It is just as well its not for a present. While I ordered a pc game from Amazon Friday and it arrived Monday ;D well chuffed.
I usually use amazon because they are so quick , reliable and offer a good service. As for cd wow I am disapointed with the service , and weighing up if any extra pound or two discount is really worth it.

CD-WOW beats Amazon on prices.

Amazon beats CD-WOW on product range, service, delivery times and stock.

WARNING: CD-WOW's stock is PATHETIC. I've ordered about 30 CDs of which 17 were delayed, some by more than 10 days. Poor poor stock. Amazon don't have this problem.

I suppose CD-WOW didn't anticipate demand very well this Christmas, let's hope they improve. At the moment, they're only doing well because of price.

Well Im not a happy bunny with CD-wow. I ordered two DVDs on the 15th November with them, first one arrived and it was Region 1 and not Region 0 (worldwide) as advertised. Dropped them an email and they said they would send me a Region 2 and to return the original one in a freepost envelope....this has been done but still waiting for my Region 2. The other DVD still hasnt arrived.....I keep emailing them and keep getting told to wait a couple of days.....email again and asked to wait again......email again and asked to wait til 30th.....now the 30th and still no swinning sign of either of my DVDs. Theyve debited my credit card which is now due for payment so Ive now sent an email begging for the sodding things >:(

Ordered "Shaun Of The Dead" DVD for £9.67 with all the available discounts and got an e-mail confirmation order.

Then had one saying stock problems so will not be dispatched until 29/11.

Then next day had one saying "in stock" and will be despatched and would arrive in 5-7 days.

That was 12 days ago now

Annoying thing is I also ordered "Spaced: The Definitive Collectors Edition" (3xDVD set) at the weekend and doubt whether that will arrive in time for Xmas now either

They used to be soooo reliable
