in my previous job my tax code was BR
my new job it shows on my payslip that my tax code is BW
wat do these codes mean?
any help would be greatly appreciated!

BR is basic rate, not emergency code. Do you have another source of income? If not, this code is wrong and you should contact your tax office to get you on the right code. Ring them and find out what info they need to do this.
BW is something random made up by your employer, but I suspect it is BR as well.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
