Heavy curtain to stop draught

Hello,
I want to get hold of a heavy curtain to put up in front of my front door, to stop some of the draught coming through.
Does anyone have any ideas of a cheap place to get this sort of thing, please?
Thanks,
Duncan

Duncan,
Only place I can really think of is somewhere like a charity shop. They do get in old curtains.
Want you want is some like a velvet type material, nice and heavy keeps out the light and drafts.
Have you asked around your older relatives like granny she may well have some stashed in her loft. And I am sure she would love to give them to you. Helps two fold she gets rid of them out the loft and you get them for free. Unless you buy granny a nice box of choccies to say thank you.

Hi Calley,
That's not a bad idea actually, I'll have a look in the several that are in our town centre!
Both my grandparents died recently so that's not an option really, but the mother in law may be another matter!
Certainly worth asking around I think.
Thanks for the advice. Happy Christmas.

I bought one at Rosebys in the sales that was the perfect size and came with a tie back (actually it came with two tie backs which was interesting)....can't remember the exact price but it was near about £10.

Morning Claudie,
Did you use it for the same thing as I want to?
Does it work?
Our Hall leads straight to the stairs so any draught takes heat away from a lot of the house!
Never heard of Dunelm, is that a shop?
Thanks,
Dunc0
