I wanna buy Luton v Liverpool tickets

I have never purchased football tickets so could really do with some advise.
I would like to get my hubby some tickets to the game on 7th January.
He is a Liverpool fan but living so far away its impossible to get to any games. However we live quite close to Luton so would love him to be able to take our two boys.
Can anyone tell me where I might be able to buy tickets-I've checked the Liverpool site but you need a 'fan card'whatever that is to get tickets through them.
Any help would be greatfully received.

LFC have only been allocated 1740 tickets so don't hold your breath for a ticket in the Liverpool end.
You'll need to register but try http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?board=20.0 where you'll be able to ask for any spare tickets.
Your best chance of success is to try and get a ticket through Luton Town FC0 -
Seriously, I would not want to be a Liverpool fan in the Luton home end!!!!
I would suggest trying to get a ticket through Liverpool football club, try their website, but with a small allocation i think you are going to be very lucky if you get one.I am a fee charging WoM Mortgage broker.I now no longer give information and opinion within the Mortgage boards, because a number of posters who, having approached me professionally, agreed my fee-which has been been made very clear at the outset, taken my advice (normally cancelling a [home visit] meeting at short notice) have then approached one of the fee-free brokers on here to arrange the very same deal I have advised.Whilst I totally concur with the ethos of "money saving"- abusing the goodwill of a professional who provides a quality service is taking it too far! :mad:0 -
some of the ticket agencies sell football packages such as hotels and game tickets. Might be worth trying through some of them.0

I'd be seriously worried if a company was selling tickets to Luton games along with a night in a Luton hotel and was still in business......
I'd say the chances of getting a ticket in either end are 'nil' (and from a fan perspective(not of either team involved) I'd hope you can't get tickets in either end so that people who go and watch both teams regularly can see the game)

From Lutons perspective there will be no general sale(I'd be surprised if sales go past people who own membership cards)0 -

Chill out man! If the good lady can get tickets for her hubby good luck to her. There's no law against it.0 -
Thats why I posted the link to the Luton Town websites page with the relevant ticket details on it. Thanks for your input.0

With the game being a cup game and very big for Luton sure sell out I would guess would you not be better off looking at away Prem fixtures for Liverpool ie London0

Luton is your best bet mate, not a prem game.
Only premiership games left in London this year are:
Feb 04 - Chelsea
Mar 11 - Arsenal
Apr 22 - West Ham United
TBD - Charlton
You've got a chance for West Ham & Charlton, but probably only if you're a member of those clubs.0 -

.
But unless you're a member at Luton or a season ticket holder, or a season ticket holder at Liverpool who is on the system as attending the game at Burnley in the same cup last year, it'll be nigh on impossible given the size of Lutons ground and ticket allocations0 -
Cheers for your input everyone.
I'm try all the avenues you've suggested.
Thanks again.0
