Default Notice removal?

Some time ago in fact it was 2005 when I remortgaged my property there was an amount of £232 which wasn't cleared out of a secondary acc and for some reason the previous lender issued put a default notice against , this was cleared as soon as it came apparant that this is what had happed but doesn't look good.
How do I get it removed?
