christmas fete/fair display ideas please

I am having a table at a craft fair this Saturday and just got an e-mail to tell me its being promoted as a christmas market so could I please make my table chrismassy!Dont know where to start really. My stock is kids fleece jumpers and jackets with mainly pony and tractor etc embroidery so all winter stock rather than particuarly chrismassy.I need some ideas on how to make my tables look nice and chrismassy without taking over from the stock.Any ideas? The tables are just the folding type and I was thinking of having duplicate items in boxes hidden under a table cloth so maybe I could use a red cloth for starters.Help!

  • Hi,
i have a stall every year at my soms school xmas fair, i too sell items of clothing.
depending on what items i have, i either have them folded on the table or ona hanging rail with duplicate items in foldable crates under the table.

i usually have a red or green table cloth which i picked up at wilkinsons and i put tinsel around the edge of the table.

    i hope this helps
  • I remembered I have some nice red fleece throws from ikea which I can use for the table cover, they have a scalloped edge and little snowflake cutouts so they will be great.
I managed to find some gold sleigh bells in poundland which I will dangle over the table with red ribbon too and hopefully when people brush against them my stall will make lovely chrismassy sounds.
I am going to look for red and white snowflake design wrapping paper and tags and will have a tower of boxes wrapped as pressies on one side of the table just to decorate.
I think I am going to do what M&S have done this year and add chrismassy gift tags to the clothing I am selling to give it all an extra special touch.I dont think there will be any table top left bare once my stock is on there but if there is I can scatter white snowflake confetti.Think I am going for a snowflake theme then.
Off to find wrap and tags now, first stop IKEA.They didnt have any I liked.Ethel Austin have a pack of wrap with some red and white snowflake design in there too and I have ordered large red price tags which I will print a white snowflake onto.
I found some light up chrismas pens with fluffy tops which I can sell or give away with spends over a certain amount.
