philips the bailiff

Options
i keep getting bombared with emails to collect an outstanding bill for 800.00 ish original dept im disputing this with the council ive paid £50 to philips 10 days ago and said i was going on holiday but everyday i was on hoilday they bombarded me with emails for me to pay
after sorting another bill and bypassing the bailiffs i feel ive done the wrong thing in contacting them because even though the council have said its £800 philips have not give me a figure when i phoned up the staff were just interested in trying to get me to agree to pay 45 a week and wernt interested i was in dispute the phone number is an 0870 number so charging me a premiur rate number i dont now weather to phone and arrange payments or wait till i get ammended bill and pay it to the council and write off that £50
what should i do? should i send email ? letter? or phone ? if so what r there contact details

  • Hi there i was chased by phillips once they would text me every day and try & bully me then found out they only hold the account for 120 and days thenit go:s back to the council office all the best
  • My action would be to put the scenario in writing by recorded delivery, to the council, addressing to someone personally who is a responsible individual, and also to complain about your treatment by Philips - isn't there a limit to the number of times in any day somebody can be pursed for a debt? I may be wrong and it might just be phone calls, but sounds very like harrasment to my mind.

Please do not write off the £50 paid - you have paid it to a creditor and surely they must take it off the bill?
