Wedding Dresses in belfast

I'm trying to find out,for my fiance, where in belfast to go to get wedding dresses. Alsoperhaps wedding dresses altered and also epoepl who could make one from scratch? Any advice on this would be really helpful as i don't even know where to start. Basically she has found a design she likes but its way too pricey(£2,500!!!). So we're trying to find something plain to get altered or some one who would amke it from scratch.

  • Hi,
If you're near to Bangor you could try Jenny Lindop. I went to her to buy a wedding dress but she makes them from scratch too.
  • If you're looking at the more budget end, TK maxx is worth a visit, sometimes they have stuff and sometimes they don't. Monsoon too is worth a try.

There also is a specialist evening wear store at the bottom of royal avenue (sort of opposite Central Library) - I have no idea what it's called but they did have some nice things in the window when I was last past. And seem to do bridal wear.

And of course Parsons & Parsons up beside City Hall...

We just got bridesmaid dresses from Biento Madame and though some of the stuff in the window looks horrific they have nicer things inside. We got dresses the same as ones we'd looked at in another shop for half the price.

Also tell her to ask about sale items in any bridal shops and also my friend got her dress half price because it was the one that had been on display, she was only the 5th person to ever try it on but got it £400 cheaper!

Also check online, another friend tried on a dress in a shop, noted the desgners name then ordered direct from USA from designer and just had to get it altered here, saved her £500!

I got my wedding dress from Biento Madame as well and they were lovely to me and very reasonable (also got an additional 10% off!)
