A good cheapish TV

I want to buy a television as a Christams gift, for someone I don't know very well. 28" if possible, max spend £250.
Any idea's on what's around at the mo? Or do you think I should wait till just after Xmas and buy in the sale???

  • If you can, wait until after Xmas.

  • Currys are selling a nice flat screen 28" sony model for £229.99. Sony KV28HX15U Widescreen TV. I know argos are selling it for a lot more. I actually have this model myself and bought it from comet who will do the stand for £29.99 if you buy the telly from them. Comet do price match, not sure if they do with currys though will have to check the small print on there site.
