  • I have only joined MSE a short while ago as a member but have been recieving the newsletter email thing for some time! As someone who ever since she got her first payslip at 16 has thought nothing of spending a months rent money in Boots this was the natural thread that I was drawn to I was going tosay Hi but felt a little put off by 'mean' posters. I feel better about it now as the majority concesus seems to be welcoming. So.. Hi everyone hopefully I will make meaningful contributions in the future when I get the knack of this and I hope to make some nice friends x

Just want to let you all know I'm going to carry on as normal updating the thread etc.

I'm not going underground or anywhere else.

Personally Bootsing is fun for me, if i get a glitch i get one if not then I'm not going to come to any harm. The main thing is I'm making friends and having a laugh.

When i joined this thread it was because it was friendly and welcoming and fun, you never had to have 100 posts already or know the right person to join. Personally i think it has all got out of hand and for those of you who want to stay or join us as newbies you should all know everyone is more than welcome any of you that want to leave and go underground thats fine too.

Its taken me a long time to join this thread, for all sorts of reasons but the push for me was the warmth and friendliness of posters generally. The thought also of the thread not being available felt scary as I have used the comments daily as a pick-me-up :j

Sometimes we are not aware of how much pleasure we are giving to others regardless of circumstance so to all you BOOTSERS & BOOTSEES keep up the good work - you are all :A in my eyes

That's great to hear - and ta for the glitches so far:j

It was a bit daunting coming on here for the first time - god you can all gob on:D and the threads move so fast which is half the fun but can't help but read each post and I love joining in. From my experience, once I had read thread 41 I found it was really easy to post as everyone was so friendly and the good thing about it being a big forum is that their is alwasy someone around to answer your posts!! have already got to hear from a couple of local people - although have forgotten usernames:rolleyes: .

Boots aren't daft - they know the score and let's face it if we all stopped doing the glitches etc some poor person in boots may be out of a job as they would have nothing to read all day!!! We cannot be responsible for someone losing the job of 'MSE Boots Thread Reader' - it would be tragic:rotfl:

The OOTW (shine therapy hairdryer) is now available on .com at £24.99.

    http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=121654

Plus the new points offer is 600 points on a £60 spend.

Those who buy it in-store might be able to use the £5 electrical mailing vouchers, too. :)

    Morning! :j

Its a stayperfect eyeliner, nail varnish (random colour), Lash 360 mascara, a couple of P&P minis......um......and a mini liplicious. Never noticed before but 17 sell these too - they look practically identical - apart from the price! :rotfl:

you are so right:D DD has the 17 one. We were comparing it to the No7 mini in the GWP the other night and we couldn't see any difference at all. They are exactly the same......except for the price, as you quite rightly pointed out:D

I totally agree, although i don't often post, i look forward to reading all the posts when my baby has a little nap, keep the friendly atmostphere! If everyone does glitches in moderation it doesn't hurt Mr B and more of us get to try it before he "corrects it".
On topic..can anyone suggest some cheap pain relief from Boots to aid pain from having my wisdom tooth out?? I've tried anadin dual action but its quite pricey and i'm sure there must be a boots alternative?? xx

Hello elastigirl - someone will correct me if I am wrong but the R & M mirror is a gift item and the no 7 vouchers are not supposed to be used against gifts. However if you get a good SA they may put this through for you and you will pay £1 - equally if you use SS tills then the voucher will scan. ;)

Thanks i nipped out and there wasn't any of the r&m mirrors anyway must have all been wiped out when on 342 i got the nail file set free and a heated eye lash curler £1 to pay but i used a really old and tatty £1 boots voucher and they gave me 1p change lol. so i was happy with that.

Well they are a pain when they arrive and a pain when they go :p Had both mine out and found that co-codamol did the trick. Now not sure if you can but these over the counter as got mine on presciption. Worked out cheaper for me as I have a pre-payment presciption. Hope you feel better soon
