Trying to make a comeback - but struggling

Hi Everyone

It's AGES (I would say at least a year) since I was here last -and I miss everyone.

When I last wrote I had a few thousand pounds worth of debt (which worried me a lot), credit cards and a student loan.

I was in a job I loved really, but didn;t get on with my boss, which made it miserable and I had a less that supportive boyfriend for whome teh glass was always half empty, which didn't do me any good at all.
And I gave a lot of my free time to a sport he despised and I loved.

Now things have changed - I have a new job - it pays more, I work less hours, get more holidays and is less stressful.

I have more debt - bought a car off my dad! still got my student loan, but paying £70 a month.

No credit cards

And i have a new man - he is lovely, v supportive and encouraging and he loves the sport too! He has moved in, which is a financial strain at the moment as he has just graduated and has not got his career off the ground yet, so I pay for everything, except food, which we share the cost of.

My problem is, I have stopped keeping track of my money again - and while it's not landed me in any trouble at all, not being organised leads me to being depressed. I can be quite bad anyway and always have been - the worse I get the more I want to either spend or kill myself - in the past I thought spending was the best option, but nowadays I don;t get the buzz anymore and find myself contemplating the later more and more.

I decided to write back on here, not to look for sympathy or anything, but it feels like I am telling someone how I feel when I write on here.

It made me feel better last time, so am hoping it will spur me on as when I am more financially organised it seems to have a knock on effect on the rest of my life.

Anyway - if you have read to the bottom of this email - then thanks for taking the time to listen to a rambling fool!

Well done for coming back and keep on posting, the support you'll get on here is amazing. Explain how you're feeling to your other half, if he is supportive to you then that will be good for you, also encourage him to get some sort of work in the meantime then all the financial burden's not on your shoulders.
Good luck and remember you are not a fool just someone who needs support like we all do.
