3 mobile - regal credit problem, help pls...

Hi,

first of all, hello - im new here.

Heres my issue....

I had a contract with 3 mobile which ended over 12 months ago & the other day i had a letter come in the post from regal credit (a debt collecting agency) stating that i owed them £35 from my 3 mobile contract.

In the letter it stated 'despite previous written requests' from 3 mobile, but this is the first i have heard about this & do not think i owe 3 mobile a penny.

I have rang up regal credit to query this & they have told me to query 3 mobile who told me to query it with regal credit & so on & so on but i have got nowhere with the very rude staff at regal & the overseas call centres @ 3.

Its not the money, its the principal - i simply do not want to pay for something i do not think i owe.

Can anyone give me any advice please? At the moment, i am thinking of just not paying them in the hope that they will not send collectors round etc for such a measly value.

return a copy of the letter to 3 mobile stating that you do not owe the money and also send a copy of that letter to regal. Ask to see proof of your 'non payment'

Good idea. The thing thats frustrating me the most is not getting anywhere with them & the fact that i know this is the first i have heard about this.

Do you think its a good idea to just ignore any phone calls etc from regal for the time being?

I'm no expert....but letters hold more weight than calls. Can't tell you if just ignoring is a good idea but in a couple of days you can say 'i jave written to you about this' and then leave it at that.
