I know brandy will last yrs in a bottle but how long does it last for when its been opened ? I have got some left in a bottle and I dont want to splash out on some more if I dont have to. 
I have already had to throw out my Archers from last christmas because it says once opened consume within 9 months.

Spirits like vodka, whisky and brandy will keep for years even opened. I'm not sure what is in Archers, but if it contains wine, juice or fruit, it will go off.
I have a bottle of whisky that's been opened about 5 years, I only use it at Christmas, and it tastes fine.

I only use brandy to light the Christmas puddng and a half bottle does for some years.0
