Thanks to the original poster for this info, I rang my local Somerfield who had a couple left today (DC11's). Then went to Currys where they had stacks all at £249.99. Took advantage of their price match promise (after the manager trying every trick in the book not to honour it!) and got a DC11 for £84.99 - mint!

Did you have to take any documentary evidence to show the cheaper price, or do you have to know of a branch that has them in store??

    Thanks

I need a vacuum really quick!!!

The store manager will ring the Somerfield you say have them in stock, check the product is exactly the same and the barcode on the box matches. Otherwise you could buy the one in Somerfield and take the item and receipt to Currys and they will refund the price match difference (10%).

Shame these are all gone, sounds like a great deal.

If anyone is looking for a cheaper version of a Dyson, I can highly recommend the Argos rip-off of the Dyson which can be seen HERE.

It does a GREAT job of picking up mounds of dirt in my flat, even my girlfriends long blonde hairs - when I empty it there is a rug of blonde hair in there.

It has great features too like twin suction pipes, turbo brush and loads of attachments and it folds in half for easy storage. If you need something cheap, would give it a try - 16 day money back guarantee and 12 month waranty give peace of mind to the deal!
