parents love sudoku. theyve had loads of books but they want the hardest puzzles available as basically they can do the so called 'fiendish' puzzles in 5 mins. i ve bought them various books that say ultra hard and they arent, does anyone know of a book that does super hard puzzles with hardly any numbers in? please dont just direct me to any old books (i know the retailers i just want best titles) it has to be ones you have had yourselves that you have found near enough impossible-oh and high street please, not online, cheers
Fr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough. I've had my fun, and that's all that matters.

I know how they feel - have mostly given up now as no challenge. The only ones that are a bit different are Killer Sudoku (paperback with black cover, from The Times) where you also have to work out number bonds. My mother and I both enjoyed these but so far only one book. Amazon ref here http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0007223633/qid=1134937557/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_10_1/202-0389355-2877441
but have seen in lots of shops.

Probably worth looking at this site which appears
to be a large index for fans of these puzzles.

Not sure if this will offer the challenge required but may be a good gift for sodokoists.
