Bailiffs COMPLAINT

I had a terrible ordeal last Friday with Bailiffs and would like to complain to a higher level.
I have written to the company direct And the debt company concerned
However they treated me really badly and this sort of behaviour shouldn't be allowed to go on.
If it had been an elder person they may have become ill and I don't think these heartless people realise the anguish suffered.

So is there anywhere I can complain to please

  • I would suggest Herbie21 is the person to get in contact with she has a website called http://www.bailiffadviceonline.co.uk/ she will give you all sorts of advice. Good luck.

Can you provide few more details. Please do not mention the individual bailiff's name.

There are different rites to making a complaint. For instance is this complaint about a County Court Bailiff, Certificated Bailiff or High Court Enforcement Officer.

I did a thread earlier on here But I cant find it the details are all there they were certificated Bailiifs

I was shown no paperwork for what they charged me or id But they were taking my car for 95.00
I have since transfered the car to my husbands name Just waiting for dvla
I was told to contact there office regarding paperwork and all correspondence But the office said deal with the bailiffs I suffered 2 hours of hell with two people who I believe one was not a Bailiff
  • Well I have had my reply today from the council regarding the parking ticket and Although they only passed this to the bailiffs on the 1st sept 08 they are telling me I have to deal with the bailiffs.
I have cancelled the chceks written for the extortionate amount and just left the one paying for the ticket

I have transfered ownership of the car to my hubby now just waiting on dvla

    So what now

unfortunately, cancelling the cheques wont cancel the debt. They will still chase you for this money. And add to it each time they visit. Sorry
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Also, if the bailiffs have levied on vehicle on a particular date I'm not entirely sure how legal it is to then change the name on the ownership of the vehicle after that date - someone may be better placed to advise??
    WARNING!

  • The vehicle Belonged to my husband anyway he has the finance on it not me
althhough it was registered to me
  • The debt was in my name or the parking ticket as it had been left by the council for 3 years I had no warning of anything prior to them coming and I was entittled to one letter with debt and about 20 on top and one visit which none of these did I get
I have also written to the bailiffs regarding this

You can't demand or take with no id or showing any paperwork
