it went quiet for a couple minutes, then started ringing again. then i listened and someone was already speakin so i put phone down. bah

Its a standard call charge I believe. If you get through you can hear through your telephone what you can hear on the radio, so you know you're in with a shot.

That happened to me the last time I tried to phone as well.

The first few times I got a message saying 'we'll put you through to the live studio' Then it rang twice and came back saying it was busy.

but the last time after the 'we'll put you throught....' it went all quiet and couldn't hear anything.
But listening to the radio, they must talk to you before you go on air, as he knew that guys name.
Aww well, will know for next time.
