I am back,funeral went well today of my friend He had a good lot of people come including family my other male friend took a speech and asked the lady celebrant to read it on his behalf,there were also two lovely poems,some music played and all too soon it was over,it was only 20 minutes,I feel ok and I am glad I went to pay my last respects and now my friend is at peace and life now has to go on.Thanks for the hugs and support

Glad it went OK Katie. Knowing someone is at peace (particularly if they've been suffering) is a helpful thing I thnk. Glad you thought the service went well also. I always feel better if the service is a good one.
