SPeedometer running

Hi

My son would love a speedometer that he could wear whilst he was rnning htat would measure his heart rate, speed etc. He would prefer one that didnt rely on foot pod. I have seen the Timex one but it is £180.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

god, er let me think the b/fs got one hes a personal trainer....they actually do them in aldis or did, believe it or not, i think they have them in boots ...i can ask him if you would like?

i asked, he said you can get a heart rate monitor for around £30+ (avg about £60) but as for a 'speedometer' he said you would need to go to a specialist running shop.

£30 sounds about right for a heart rate monitor.

A personal GPS would serve to calculate speed and would show the course you've run.
