I said exactly the same thing on last months thread....But this is posted on the regular board and I don't understand why its then posted on the main board every month?? it defeats the object of having a regular board and increases the chance of duplicating entries.

I will post a warning in my OP

the reason I have posted the comp is that it dosn't show up when you do a search I.E it is not showing as a regular comp when you search

it could be that the link which is on the regular board is outdated as it was posted way back in 2005

I hope that one day the regular board will be amalgamated into the main board as a lot of MSE,s do not visit the regular board (including me) on a regular basis and miss out on a lot of comps!!:mad:

I posted a major daily comp on the regular board yesterday £100,000 worth of prizes I felt that it should have be posted on the main board so that the majority of MSE's would see the post and enter howether I decided to follow the rules and posted it on the regular comp board

The regualr comp board is also so confusing as daily comps where there is a different prize each day are posted in the same thread as daily entries for monthly competitions

It does show in regulars on a search - I searched 'jlj jewellery'

thats because regulars are moved to the regular board, but the ones posted there already don't move to main as they are already in the proper place.

It is tricky to get the hang of, but mainly - monthly/daily/weekly - try and pick a set date/time/day and work your way through.

The regular board will likely remain as it is easier to remember to enter the monthlies when you have the prompt there and not lost in the main board (It also makes game overing easier and the main board fresh)

This maybe the case but it still dosn't address the fact that a lot of MSE's don't visit the regular board and so miss out on a lot of Daily,Weekly and monthly competitions

The prompt,s monthly/daily/weekly could so easily be placed into the main board and instead of having different boards everything could be detailed be in the same place

why can't E: Monthly , E:Weekly, E: Daily work in the main board ?

maybe they coud bre posted as a monthly,weekly,daily sticky at the top of the main page ?

I dont see that this would create any problems with "Game Overing" or keeping the main board fresh

MSE's could still advise if a comp was "Game Over" and keep the main board fresh

Only prob is a lot of people (including me) do not search this way they search by comp link and the comp link in the regular forum is outdated :mad:

searching by comp link, do you mean url? if yes, thats not reliable.

as for msers not venturing over to the regular board, thats their choice surely??!! its not difficult to set aside some time each month to do the regulars, if you do it on the 1st then its easy to remember
