  • I still cannot find the large packs of Roast Beef anywhere. My local shops seem to just have the Flaming Hot or Pickled Onion. Either they are so popular they sell out faster or they are in short supply to retailers.
I've heard nothing yet from Walkers.
  • Roast beef are the best....

Surely a severe case of flavour discrimination!!
  • does anyone else agree that the current roast beef ones taste different from the ones back in the day? i remember them being bigger and more powdery like wotsits?

They do not taste the same as I remember the original ones tasting. But then as we get older our tastes change. They were definitely bigger ( have you seen the reintroduced bigger monsters in the shops?) but I don't think that they put as much flavouring on as they used to do. They used to leave a lot more flavour residue on your fingers, just as Wotsits do now.

I was so overjoyed when I saw proper Monster Munch in the local dodgy sweetshop (home of the Russian Cornetto - not good).

Why did they stop proper flavours and keep that Flamin' Hot nondescript flavour? I'm sure the real flavours will always be more popular.

A note to anyone who worries about pickled onion flavour giving you minging breath - ALL corn snacks make your breath stink! Just chew some gum and don't go out on the pull straight away :-)

I'm a roast beef convert. Used to love Pickled Onion as a child, but once they shrunk in size they were never the same.

So there's usually a fight between OH and me for the Roast beef flavour in our house. Only seen the Flaming Hot in Woolies, like the size but not keen on the flavour, def 3rd place for them.

I managed to get big bags of beef MM last week.
Morrisons had them on offer 2 for £1.50 in a basket on the snacks isle.
    Hope this helps.
    Lovely!
