'Free' item out of stock

Hoping someone can help me with this.

I've just been online and reserved 6 items for collection from my local store tomorrow.
One of the items is a Hannah Montana secret diary pillow, and with that product you can order a wall scroll for free (worth 9.99)
When I got to the reserve bit the free item shows as out of stock.

If I go to the store tomorrow and collect the rest of my order, is it possible to reserve the free item in store for when it comes back in (the offer doesn't expire until somewhen in 2009)

If I don't get the Hannah pillow tomorrow, I won't receive my £5 voucher for spending over £50.

i would ask, if they are getting stock in later on in the week, i dont see why not. Ask to speak to the manager first before ordering anything tho, remember there will be a lot of xmas temps in store at the moment and not all of them are fully aware of the policys.

It will say on your reciept that your free item is out of stock and you have 2 months to collect it providing you show your reciept when you do collect it

I had the same with a free safety set which was part of a bike we bought for DD. As colliefrog says above, you get a receipt valid for 2 months. As I had to wait quite awhile, I spoke to a store manager to find out if they would offer me an "alternate" free equivalent if the offered item never came back into stock. She phoned around and managed to get the original one for me.
You should still be able to get the pillow, its just the free item they should give you a receipt for. Good luck!

whoo hoo....started my Christmas shopping :-)
