Try contacting your local councillors rather than your MP - more use in this case.

And do look at Herbie's site. Her pm box is full but it might be worth a call to her even at the cost.
She needs to know, how much is outstanding, name of the bailiff company and name(S) of the lovely guys who are visiting you.

yes the business has been wound up. I have seen my OR who is looking in it for me, He thought that is was exempt but will check and contact the council for me0

Hi,
Good news after all this time the council have cancelled the debt and passed on the OR. Which means no more worring knocks at the door.
I have the letter copied and stored in a safe place just in case0 -

No they are treated the same. If you have a current debt which includes business rates then that can go into a bankruptcy, Unless there is liability order and then its get complicated.0
